Jockey Club MEL Institute Project Online Community of Practice Session (“MEL CoP”) was successfully held on 15 September 2023 (Friday)!

The second MEL CoP was successfully held on 15 September 2023 (Friday). With great enthusiasm, a diverse group of 72 participants from various social service fields and professional backgrounds attended the event.

 

The event was graced by four experienced speakers, including Mr. Elvis NG, Senior Manager (Youth Service) of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS), Mr. Hong MAN, Social Worker of HKFWS, Ms. Wing LAI, Community Worker of HKFWS, and Ms. Victoria TUNG, Community Worker of HKFWS. Their presence and expertise enriched the session as they shared their practical experiences in applying MEL within the youth and family services.

 

Throughout the event, they discussed practical case studies, best practices, and real-world challenges encountered by frontline workers. They also explored how MEL frameworks and tools have been utilized to measure outcomes, track progress, and drive evidence-based decision-making in the realm of youth and family services.

 

By attending this event, participants were able to gain valuable insights into the best practices adopted by social workers, learn about cutting-edge approaches to MEL, and discover how these strategies can positively impact the lives of young people and families in need.
