On 29 June 2023 (Thursday), the MEL CoP was successfully held online! Over 136 participants from different social service fields and professional backgrounds attended the event from various parts of the world including the UK, the US and Hong Kong. We are glad to have Mr. Ralph Szeto, Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing, Mr. Matthew Tam, CEO of Social Career, Mr. Stanley Ho, Co-founder & Managing Partner of Society for Innovation and Technology in Social Work, and Ms. Honnus Cheung, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of On-Us, to share with us their experience on immersing Digital Social Good in Web 3.0.
Mr. Szeto shared basic principles, deployment approaches, and tools to help participants gain a better understanding of their target audiences and effectively plan and implement their projects. Mr. Tam discussed how technology has changed volunteering and how organizations should embrace this new opportunity. Mr. Ho explored the role and attitudes that social service workers should have in the era of data, as well as how to use data to inspire service development. Finally, Ms. Cheung introduced how On-us is bringing new flow of customers, brand exposure and new sources of funding to NGOs and Social Ventures continuously with its innovative digital transformation solution.
